What we build in La Quinta

A custom pool and spa can anchor the property, with covered gathering spaces, outdoor cooking, carefully placed planting and lighting that changes the mood after sunset. We plan pool remodeling and reshaping alongside the surrounding landscape so the entire yard feels considered.

Our services in La Quinta: the complete property, custom pools & spas, pool reshaping & remodeling, landscape design, hardscape & outdoor living, planting & irrigation, landscape lighting, drainage, difficult sites & challenging access, large-scale & complex projects, craftsmanship and precision, 3d renderings, pool houses, balconies & decks, pedestal paving systems, artificial turf & putting greens, outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, fire features & fire pits, tennis & pickleball courts.

Comfort in the desert

We consider sun exposure, shade, reflected heat and the feel of paving underfoot before selecting a layout or material palette. Planting and irrigation are planned together, with room for mature growth and practical access for maintenance.

Keep the view, create a retreat

A pool edge, low planting or a shaded seating area can frame the view from inside the house. We use 3D renderings during the contracted design process to help you compare the relationships between water, terraces and outdoor rooms.

Planning your La Quinta project

Requirements depend on the property, jurisdiction and scope. We begin with a site visit, then coordinate the relevant agency review and required submittals as the project develops.

City review
La Quinta has its own building and planning process. We review the proposed pool, structures and site work with the city and coordinate the required plans and inspections.
Community design requirements
If your property is in an association or country-club community, we review its architectural standards and submittal requirements alongside city requirements.
Water and equipment planning
We establish irrigation needs, pool equipment locations, drainage and utility connections early, then confirm the rules that apply to the address and scope.
Pool safety (statewide)
When a building permit is issued for a new pool or spa, or to remodel one, at a single-family home, California generally requires at least two qualifying drowning-prevention features. Some two-feature combinations are prohibited, and local rules can add requirements. A qualifying locking safety cover provides a statutory exception for a hot tub or spa. We confirm the applicable combination and any exception with the permitting authority. Source ↗
Pool heating energy rules (statewide)
Since January 1, 2026, new pool heating installations must generally use a qualifying primary heat source, such as a heat pump or solar, under California’s 2025 Title 24 energy standards. Read our pool energy code FAQs.
Water-efficient landscapes (statewide)
New landscapes of 500 square feet or more, or rehabilitated landscapes of 2,500 square feet or more, that need a building permit, plan check or design review must meet California’s Model Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance (MWELO) or the local version of it. Source ↗

Completed rectangular pool with straight tiled edges and raised seating at The Madison Club

Case study · The Madison Club, La Quinta

A new shape.
A smarter way to rebuild.

Our customer disliked the shape of the pool. See how selective reconstruction, new reinforcing steel and precise tilework transformed the design while retaining useful parts of the existing pool.
